Error: Application configuration is incorrect

Symptom

After installing and launching MindManager an error is displayed and the program cannot launch.

Error message on Windows XP:
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this program."

Error message on Windows Vista:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

Cause

This error is caused because some files needed for Visual C++ applications have become corrupt or are missing.

Resolution

Re-installing of the C++ runtime environment should fix the issue.

Download the Visual C++ redistributable files from below link: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package

After installation MindManager should launch without issues.
