XML validation error: Core initialization

Applies to: MindManager X5, 6, 7

Symptom

A ‘core-initialization’ - error message while starting MindManager X5 is caused by a corrupt MSXML4 installation.

Cause



Resolution
For a solution, please perform the following steps:
 
Click on START - Run
Enter: regsvr32 /u msxml4.dll (this command deregisters the MSXML4.DLL)
For MindManager 7 use regsvr32 /u msxml6.dll
Enter afterwards: regsvr32 msxml4.dll again for MindManager 7: regsvr32 msxml6.dll (for registering the DLL again)
The final step is to restart MindManager.
