JCV Gantt: Complete Uninstall / Reinstall

In some cases it is usefull to perform a complete uninstall/reinstall of the software in order to resolve issues with the program. You may need local administration rights to complete the process.


Follow these steps for a complete uninstall:


1. Uninstall JCV Gantt via the Windows control panel: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.


2. Launch regedit (Start > Run > regedit). You may wish to back up your registry beforehand.

Locate and delete the following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JCV30
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\I and A Research Inc
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JCV30


3. If the install directory C:\Program Files\I and A Research (default setup path) and C:\Program Files\Common Files\I and A Research Inc still exist, delete them manually. The path can vary if you have installed JCV Gantt using a custom setup.


4. Delete the user data:

- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\IAResearch

Windows Vista: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\IAResearch

PLEASE NOTE: Local Settings and Application Data are hidden folders. By default, hidden folders are not shown in Windows. To view hidden folders set the option "Show hidden files and folders" via Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options. Select the tab View. Scroll down the list to entry Hidden Files and Folders and activate Show hidden files and folders. Apply the setting and close the dialog.

5. Now install JCV Gantt again using the appropriate setup file. You can download the latest files from our website:
