What is the VAT-ID?
The European Value added tax identification number (VAT-ID) is an identifier used in the European Union for taxation purposes.
VAT ID-Numbers should be entered as follows: Austria 9, beginning with the letter „U“ Belgium BE + 10 digits Bulgaria 9 or 10 digits only Cyprus 9, ending with a letter Czech Republic 8, 9 or 10 digits only Denmark 8 digits only Estonia 9 digits only Finland 8 digits only France 11 digits only Germany 9 digits only Greece 9 digits; old 8 digit ID-No’s should additionally begin with O Hungary 8 digits only Ireland 8 digits, the second can be and the last must be a letter Italy 11 digits only Latvia 11 digits only Lithuania 8 or 12 digits only Luxembourg 8 digits only Malta 8 digits only Netherlands 12 third from last must be the letter „B“ Poland 10 digits only Portugal 9 digits only Rumania 10 digits only. Please place 0's at the beginning of all ID-No’s with less than 10 digits! Slovakia 10 digits only Slovenia 8 digits only Spain 9 the first and last or the first or the last may be a letter Sweden 12 the last 2 of which must always be „Ø1“ United Kingdom 9 or 12 digits only
