Export/Import of Microsoft Excel range not working

Applies to: MindManager Pro 6, Pro 7

Symptom

The Excel Linker is not available or not working.
 
Resolution
Follow these steps to reactivate the Excel Linker add-in:

- Check if a proper version of Excel is installed: Excel 2002(XP), 2003 or 2007
 
- Make sure you have installed all latest Service Packs of your Office Version and the most current version of MindManager (MindManager > Help > Check for Updates).

- Check in Excel under Help/? > About Microsoft Excel > Disabled Items - enable all related items that are listed here. In Excel 2007 check under Excel Button > Addins > Drop-down box > Disabled items.
 
- Check in MindManager 7 under MindManager Button > MindManager Options > Add-Ins - if the corresponding add-in is activated. In MindManager 6 check under Tools > Options > Add-Ins
 
- Repair MindManager via Control Panel > Add or Remove Software
 
- Repair Microsoft Excel via Control Panel > Add or Remove Software
 
If none of the above works, please perform a complete re-installation of MindManager via the Control Panel > Add or Remove Software.
